Haleakalā Crater: In the center of the Crater grows a small ‘ilahi tree, the endemic Hawaiian sandalwood. Most of these were all cut down in the haste to trade with parts of the world that love the wood’s scent. This one hardy tree was in blossom, and so vibrant, I had to stop my hike and paint it.
This original watercolor painting is 5x7in. The painting will be floated on a white matboard, suitable for framing.
