Haleakalā Crater:  Kupaoa grows in the most desolate areas of Haleakalā Crater.  Compared to its close relative, the silversword, or ‘ahinahina, it is often overlooked, but its tenacious branches and close bunches of hardy, bright green leaves always grab my heart as they contrast the deep earth-tones of the cinders.

This original watercolor painting is 12x14in.  The painting will be floated on a white matboard, suitable for framing.
